The t <br />Attorney stated that the Board did not have this authority. <br />Red Blanton appeared before the Board and asked if the appraisal ,by <br />Jewett had been made on the property owned by the Vrimitive Baptist Church <br />on the new U.S. #1 R/W. The Attorney stated he.had received the appraisal <br />.and that Jewett had appraised the;; property including that needed for right <br />of way, the church building, etc.,for $5685:00. After some discussion in <br />the matter the Board offered Mr. Blanton $1,000.00 for the right of way <br />needed by the County only and then ,they could dispose of the balance of <br />the property as they wished. Mr. Blanton stated he would have to take this <br />offer before the church Board and would let the 'Board know their decision <br />at the next meeting. <br />The County Attorney gave a report on the progress of work on U. S. #1. <br />He stated that all of the appraisal work should be completed within 30 <br />days. He further stated the State Road department had approved the exten- <br />sion of the Lateral Ditches to the river. On Lateral Ditch- #5 for Humphries, <br />the State Road Department has reftwed to abandon the right of way from the <br />Old Road to the New Road.
