The Stormwater Park Model provides numerous water resource related environmental benefits including enhanced use of water resources by fish and wildlife; provide educational opportunities; reduction of erosion and nutrient runoff from the site; some internal storage of targeted waters; recycling of nutrients through recovery of compost, thereby reducing import of inorganic fertilizers; and facilitating future reuse of treated water for commercial or residential applications. e.g. cooling water; irrigation water; process waters).
