Revised August, 2002 <br /> vacancy caused by such removal may be filled at the next meeting or any <br /> subsequent meeting of the Board of DireGtefs. The term of a director appointed <br /> pursuant to this section shall continue until the next annual meeting of the <br /> Council . <br /> Section 4 . 8 — Filling of Vacancies Not Caused by Removal . In case of any <br /> increase in the number of directors , or, of any vacancy caused by death , or <br /> resignation , removal or becomes disqualified the additional director or directors <br /> may be elected , or as the case may be, the vacancy or vacancies may be filled , <br /> either (a) by the Board at any regular meeting , or at a special meeting called for <br /> the purpose, by the affirmative vote of the majority of the directors then in office. <br /> The term of a director appointed pursuant to this section shall continue until the <br /> next annual meeting of the Council . <br /> ARTICLE V <br /> ADVISORY BOARD <br /> Section 5 . 1 — General Powers . The Advisory Board shall advise the Board <br /> on matters involving the coordination of drug-abuse efforts undertaken with <br /> funds provided by the Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1988 and other legislation of <br /> similar and consistent purpose. <br /> Section 5.2 — Composition . The membership of the Advisory Board shall <br /> include at a minimum the following persons or their authorized designee , unless <br /> these persons or their authorized designee are presented on the Board : Chief <br /> Circuit Judge; State Attorney; Public Defender Sheriff; Chief of Police of each <br /> municipality within the county or a Chief of Police designated by those Chiefs of <br /> Police as their representatives Jail Administrator Cleric of the Court; <br /> Superintendent of Education , A representative of a local drug treatment program, <br /> appointed by the Chairman with approval of the Board as well as any other <br /> individual necessary to conform with the requirements of the Anti-Drug Abuse Act <br /> of 1988 or other legislation of similar and consistent purpose . Members of the <br /> Advisory Board may also be members of the Board of Directors . <br /> Section 5. 3 — Frequency of Meetings . The Advisory Board shall meet at <br /> least two (2 ) times each year and in addition as deemed necessary by the Board <br /> of Directors . <br /> ARTICLE VI <br /> COMMITTEES <br /> Section 6 . 1 — Committees . The Board may at any time , by resolution <br /> adopted by a majority of the Board , designate , change the membership of or <br /> terminate the existence of any committee or committees , including an executive <br /> and nominating committee .
