Mr. Levine and Mr. Sweeten of the Florida Forestry Service appeared <br />before the Board and presented a report of their functions in Indian <br />River County for the year 1959-60. Said report was ordered filed. <br />Mr. A. K. Forney and others appeared before the Board and presented <br />a Petition requesting that proper legislation be passed to prevent or <br />control traffic on the Ocean Beaches. After some discussion in the matter <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Hamil- <br />ton and carried, requesting the Attorney for the Board and the Representative <br />to work out an enabling Act to present to the next Session of the L <br />lature to control vehicles on the beaches. <br />Buck Vocelle appeared before the Board representing the Rod & Gun <br />Club of Indian River County and requested that the Board adopt a Resolution <br />requesting the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund dedicate the <br />following described property to the County of Indian River for public use <br />and purposes: <br />East 10 acres of Tract 10 and the South 5 acres of West 10 <br />acres of Tract 10, Section 3, Township 33 South, Range 3u East, <br />Indian River Farms Company Subdivision as recorded in Plat Look <br />2, page 25,. said land lying and being in Indian 'River County, <br />Florida. <br />Mr. Vocelle stated that the Rod and Gun Club would like to develop this <br />land which fronts on Road 60 into a park and Gun range. After considerable <br />discussion in the matter during which it was brought out that this land <br />contained marl which is <br />Commissioner Macdonald, <br />vitally needed by the County, Motion was made by <br />seconded by <br />that this matter be tabled until the <br />County Engineer time to <br />investigate <br />Commissioner <br />next meeting <br />the presence <br />Hamilton and carried, <br />which would give the <br />of marl on the land. <br />The County Engineer stated he had been contacted by the owners of <br />King's Music Land Subdivision requesting the County release thirteen feet <br />of right of way on King's Highway. He stated they have. found that the <br />.State reserved a. 100 foot right of way under the Murphy Act which they <br />were not aware of until recently, and that the County had requested a <br />right of way fifty-three feet from the centerline but they would like to <br />give only a 40 foot right of way. After considerable discussion in the <br />mattertommissioner Waddell introduced the following Resolution: <br />"That the County consents to the release of the road reservation <br />
