' SECTION 01720 <br /> ' RECORD DOCUMENTS <br /> 1 . 1 GENERAL <br /> A . Maintain and provide the ENGINEER with record documents as specified below , <br /> except where otherwise specified or modified in Divisions 1 - 16 or the <br /> Supplementary Conditions . <br /> B . Maintenance of Documents : <br /> 1 . Maintain complete sets of record documents in clean , dry , legible condition . <br /> " Record Documents " include but are not limited to : Drawings ( including <br /> I Contract Drawings , Record Drawings , and electronic files of Record <br /> Drawings ) , Specifications , Addenda , approved Shop Drawings , samples , <br /> photographs , Change Orders , other modifications of Contract Documents , test <br /> ' records , survey data , Field Orders , and all other documents pertinent to <br /> CONTRACTOR'S Work , <br /> 2 . Provide files and racks for proper storage and easy access . File in <br /> I accordance with filing format of Construction Specification Institute ( CSI ) . <br /> 3 . Make documents available at all times for inspection by ENGINEER and <br /> OWNER . <br /> 4 . Do not use record documents for any other purpose . <br /> D . Recording : <br /> 1 . Label each document " PROJECT RECORD " in 2 - inch high printed letters . <br /> 2 . Keep record documents current . <br /> 3 . Do not permanently conceal any Work until required information has been <br /> recorded . <br /> 1 . 2 RECORD DRAWINGS <br /> A . Duringthe entire construction operation , maintain records of all deviations from the <br /> P <br /> ' Drawings and Specifications and prepare therefrom , " Record Drawings " showing <br /> correctly and accurately , all changes and deviations from the work made during <br /> construction , to reflect the work as it was actually constructed . <br /> ' B . Mark whichever drawing is most capable of showing the constructed condition fully <br /> and accurately; however, where shop drawings are used for mark- up , record a <br /> cross- reference at the corresponding location on the contract drawings . Mark- up <br /> new information that is recognized to be of importance to the OWNER , butwas not <br /> shown on either the contract drawings or shop drawings .
