• <br />• �. <br />TUESDAY ;D1:10. 196x1 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida <br />met at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida in a regular meeting held at <br />9:00 o'clock A.M., Tuesday, January 10, 1961. All members were present. <br />Also present were Ed Schmucker, County Engineer; G orge:aHCathipiAttorney; <br />and Katherine'Morrison, Deputy Clerk. <br />Robert Graves, Chairman turned the Chair over to George Heath, <br />Attorney. <br />The Acting Chairman, George Heath, stated the first order of business <br />is the election of a Chairman and called for nominations. Commissioner <br />Waddell, made a Motion that all present:serving officials for the year 1960 <br />be continued for the ensuing year 1961 and the following County employees <br />be re-employed for the ensuing year: Sherman N. Smith, Jr., Attorney for <br />the Board; Anne Christensen, County Welfare Case Worker, Gladys Vigliano, <br />Clerk in the Welfare Office; James E. Roberts, County Service Officer; <br />Edwin S. Schmucker, Jr., County Engineer; Forrest N. MCCullars, County <br />Agent; Thomas Thompson, Janitor. This Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Hamilton and unanimously carried. <br />The Acting Chairman, then turned the meeting over to Chairman Robert <br />Graves. <br />The Chairman asked if there were any changes or additions to be <br />made to the minutes of December 6th and December 20th. There were none and <br />upon Motion made by Commissioner Hamilton, seconded by Commissioner Mc - <br />Cullers and unanimously carried, the minutes were approved as read. <br />A letter was read from Richard L. Sudbrock of Okeechobee requesting <br />that Oslo road be extended all the way across Indian River County where <br />it could eventually extend across the State to Bradenton. Said letter <br />was ordered filed. <br />The Indian River County Hospital filed their Financial Statement <br />ending September 30, 1960 and a tentative budget for the year January 1, <br />1961 to December 31, 1961 with the Board. <br />
