ARTICLE 21 <br /> WORKING OUT OF CLASSIFICATION <br /> 21 . 01 An employee required to work temporarily at a higher rank shall receive <br /> $ 30 . 00 per day ($60 : 00 per shift) for the period of time the employee actually <br /> works (excluding any periods of leave) out of classification. To qualify for <br /> temporary relief pay, the employee must work in a higher classification for a <br /> minimum of three consecutive hours . Only those qualified employees who <br /> have completed their probationary period will be utilized while filling a <br /> vacancy in a higher classification . No employee may work out of class and <br /> receive the increase until he has completed his initial and/or promotion <br /> probationary period . <br /> 39 <br />
