<br />for a period of one year next preceeding the first publication of the attached copy of advertisement;
<br />and affiant further says that he has neither paid nor promised any person, firm or corporation
<br />any discount, rebate, commission or refund for the purpose of securing this advertisement for
<br />publication in the said newspaper.

<br />Notice is hereby given that the
<br />Board of County Commissioners of
<br />Indian River County, Florida will
<br />receive sealed bids to the hour of
<br />9:30 A. M. on Tuesday, April 18,
<br />1961, and at said time publicly
<br />open the same at a meeting of said
<br />Board to be held in the County
<br />Commissioners Room, Indian River
<br />County Courthouse, Vero Beach,
<br />Florida for sale for cash to the
<br />County the following:
<br />Three (3) radios, mobile station,
<br />transmitter receiver combination,
<br />25 watts power output, 12 volts
<br />power input DC, two frequencies
<br />with selector switch, for operation
<br />in the 144-174Mc. band (specific
<br />155.55Mc and 155.67Mc). Narrow
<br />Band emmission. Complete with
<br />antenna, microphone and all stand-
<br />ard accessories. This equipment
<br />shall be certified under OCDM
<br />Item No. M56N and meet all speci-
<br />fications for this item number as
<br />given in OCDM Standard item speci-
<br />cations Manual CD I-100. All
<br />equipment shall be marked in ac-
<br />cordance with OCDM regulations
<br />with CD identification markers. To
<br />be supplied complete and installed,
<br />rear mount, in vehicles designated
<br />by the Indian River County Direc-
<br />tor of Civil Defense and at the dis-
<br />cretion, of said Director.
<br />' The County reserves the right
<br />to reject any and all bids.
<br />Prices to be F. O. B. Vero Beach,
<br />Florida.
<br />All bids shall be in an envelope,
<br />securely sealed and marked on the
<br />outside "Bid for Radios."

<br />The foregoing Notice was read and all bids received were opened - being
<br />as follows:
<br />Motorola Communications and Electronics, Inc.
<br />Radios as. per specifications and installation of same - $1429.50
<br />General Electric Company
<br />Radios as per specifications and installation of same $1597.35 ..
<br />The Board requested Joe Earman, Civil Defense Director check the bids to
<br />see if they met specifications. Mr. Earman after checking same, stated they
<br />did. Motion was then made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner
<br />Macdonald and unanimously carried, that the low bid of Motorola be accepted.
