J4 <br /> acre St. Sebastian River State Buffer Preserve. The Project Site is currently vacant and provides natural habitat <br /> for several rare species (Locally Significant Natural Area) that has been determined by the State of Florida to be <br /> a Local Natural Area (LNA), (See Exhibit Q . The Project Site provides habitat for Federal endangered species <br /> such as the Red-cockaded Woodpecker and Bald Eagle since it is contiguous to the St. Sebastian River Aquatic <br /> Buffer Preserve. These species are all listed in the Florida Natural Area Inventory (FNAI) as "Critically <br /> Imperiled . " <br /> The project site borders the primary entrance into the center of the City of Fellsmere on the west and <br /> the <br /> Sebastian inlet to the east at the CR 512 Interchange with I-95 . (See Exhibit A and the following page) <br /> The project site contains approximately: 25 . 26 acres of Pine Flatwoods scattered around the site ; 55 . 62 acres of <br /> predominate Wetlands ; 4 . 00* acres of a cleared 75 ' wide Gas Transmission Easement; 2 .00 * acres segment of <br /> the historic Trans-Florida Central Railway Roadbed that runs east to west for a total of 86 . 88 acres owned by <br /> the two parties plus the 1 . 5 acre existing Conservation Easement, ( * Approximated) . The 25 . 26 acres of Pine <br /> Flatwoods consist of numerous small upland islands that dominate the Buffer Preserve 's native habitat such as <br /> Scrubby Flatwoods, dry Pine Flatwoods , Dry Prairies and improved pasture . <br /> 8 <br />
