Waddell and unanimously carried, giving the County Engineer authority to <br />advertise forbids to purchase a dragline. <br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Macdonald and carried, the following committee was appointed by the Vice <br />.Chairman to study the crowded conditions of the jail and make recommenda- <br />tions to remedy this situation: Sheriff Sam Joyce, Attorney John Gould <br />and Dr. B. Q. Waddell. <br />The Board requested the Deputy Clerk write a letter to the State <br />Road Department as to what action had been taken regarding speed limits <br />requested some time ago on Clemann, Emerson and U. S. #1 from Vero Beach <br />to Wabaseo. <br />The Clerk of the Circuit Court (County Auditor) after tentatively• <br />ascertaining the proposed fiscal policies of the Board for the. ensuing <br />fiscal year, from the 1st day of October, 1961, to the 30th day of <br />September, 1962, prepared and presented to the Board a tentative budget for <br />the ensuing fiscal year for each of the funds, as provided in Chapter <br />26874, Laws of 1951, including all estimated receipts, taxes to be levied, <br />• <br />and balance expected to be brought forward, and all estimated expenditures, <br />reserves and balances to be carried over to the end of the year, were <br />ordered spread upon the minutes of the Board, and is in words and figures <br />as follows: <br />
