Arci Mobile GIS (9500.00) - Medium Priority <br /> Use of mobile GIS in year two is estimated to grow to an additional 19 users therefore <br /> requiring additional licenses . <br /> Benefits of Procuring ArcPad <br /> Procurement of ArcPad , ESRI 's mobile GIS solution will give Indian River County the <br /> opportunity to have an agile GIS that users can access while away from their desks. Through <br /> tools in the ArcGIS software, data can be manipulated in the field and brought back into the <br /> geodatabase . This product will create efficiency in field data collection and provides <br /> opportunities to link spatial data into existing mobile processes , <br /> Recommendation <br /> Procure ten (10) licenses of ArcPad From ESRI or ESRI reseller. Field copies to departments as <br /> follows: Community Development (4) , General Services (6) ; Emergency Services (3 ) ; Public <br /> Works (6) . <br /> Intranet GIS Data Browser (22,000.00) - Medium Priority <br /> Indian River County currently uses GeoBlade Intranet and will receive a complimentary <br /> upgrade to work within the ArcGIS Server framework. Utilizing an intranet browser will allow <br /> for Indian River County to extend GIS capabilities throughout the county without requiring <br /> GIS products on the desktop . <br /> Recommendation <br /> Indian River County should procure services from GIS consultant to install and configure this <br /> upgrade . The county should also identify new views required for inclusion in the browser and <br /> have these views included at the time of upgrade . This upgrade should be performed <br /> during the upgrade to ArcGIS Server 9 . 2 . <br /> Public Kiosk Touch Screen Applications (20,970.00) - Lowest Priority <br /> Public use kiosks are powerful tools for providing geospatial and related data to the public . <br /> When placed strategically, these devices and software provide greater customer service as <br /> a single location for information . <br /> Recommendation <br /> Procure touch screen software and hardware for implementation in departments as outlined <br /> in original plan . <br /> Emergency Notification System (30,000.00) - Lowest Priority <br /> Utilizing the spatial capabilities of an emergency notification system will allow for Indian River <br /> County officials to provide quick and targeted notice to citizens who may be affected by an <br /> emergency or particular event . <br /> Recommendation <br /> Indian River County should continue subscription to an Emergency Notification System as <br /> outlined in original plan . <br />
