Crime GIS Data Viewer (24180.00) - Medium Priority <br /> Implementing a crime GIS data viewing and analysis application will provide emergency <br /> officials capability to easily perform spatial analysis upon existing emergency data . <br /> Recommendation <br /> Indian River County procure a crime GIS data viewing and analysis software as outlined <br /> originally in the implementation plan . <br /> Recreation GIS Application (7540.00) - Medium Priority <br /> Automated recreation tools will provide Indian River County with the capability to perform <br /> mapping and analysis on data stored within recreation databases. In addition to <br /> recreational GIS data layers , the county will have a comprehensive parks and recreation <br /> management system , <br /> Recommendation <br /> Indian River County should procure and field recreational mapping solutions as outlined in <br /> the original plan . <br /> Recommended Hardware Procurement for Year Two <br /> ArcGIS Server Application Server (4, 500.00) - Highest Priority <br /> As Indian River County migrates to an enterprise GIS , implementation of a server to process <br /> heavy loads of geographic information is required to maintain speed and responsiveness of <br /> the overall system . Placing a strong server amid a distributed GIS architecture will provide <br /> the power needed to support Indian River County ' s enterprise . <br /> Recommendation <br /> Indian River County should procure a dual core, single processor server. This server will <br /> require the following minimum configuration : <br /> 3 .0 GHz Dual -Core Processor <br /> 4 GB RAM <br /> 120 GB Storage <br /> This server should be procured before transition of the ArcIMS / ArcSDE into the ArcGIS server <br /> environment. <br /> HandHeld Computer Units (28500.00) - Medium Priority <br /> Handheld computer units provide users with the capability perform complex GIS analysis in <br /> the field as well as collect data . <br /> Recommendation <br /> Procure rugged , GPS capable handheld computers from ESRI or preferred vendor. ESRI <br /> offers bundled packages of handheld computers with ArcPad software and should be used <br /> for procurement if possible . <br />
