31 . 5 Tolerances. The vertical tolerance is 0. 5 feet below the template and 0 .5 feet above the <br /> template. Unless approved by the COUNTY, fill placement must at least meet the 0 .5-foot <br /> tolerance below the template. <br /> 31 .6 Materials Placed Outside the Work Area. If any material is deposited outside the work <br /> area, the CONTRACTOR may be required to remove such misplaced material and <br /> redeposit it as directed by the COUNTY, at the CONTRACTOR's expense. <br /> 31 .7 Sand Ramps. The CONTRACTOR is required to build and maintain pedestrian sand <br /> ramps 15 feet wide over the shore pipe at 250-foot intervals to allow pedestrian access to <br /> the water. Sand ramps shall also be required at the beach access point for all public beach <br /> accesses in the project area. Additional ramps shall be constructed in front of all stairways <br /> down to the beach and in front of all dune overwalks. Following construction, the pipe <br /> shall be removed and the beach in the area of the ramps leveled and dressed. <br /> 31 . 8 Project Lighting. If construction proceeds past March 1 , all project lighting shall be limited <br /> to the immediate area of active construction only and shall be the minimum lighting <br /> necessary to comply with US Coast Guard and/or OSHA requirements. <br /> 31 . 9 Temporary Facilities. The CONTRACTOR shall provide electrical power, water and <br /> other utilities as he/she may require for his/her construction purposes, and shall pay all <br /> costs incurred unless otherwise provided in the Contract Documents. At completion of <br /> the contract, all temporary facilities shall be removed from the site at CONTRACTOR <br /> expense. <br /> 3 1 . 10 Work Areas. The construction and borrow area limits available to the CONTRACTOR for <br /> accomplishing the work are shown on the Plans. The CONTRACTOR shall minimize <br /> disruption to traffic on State Road AIA. Temporary areas for storage and maintenance of <br /> construction equipment shall be restricted to specified areas proposed by the <br /> CONTRACTOR and approved by the COUNTY . Storage areas shall be kept neat and <br /> orderly in the interest of public safety. <br /> 31 . 11 Construction Access Areas. The CONTRACTOR shall limit construction access to the <br /> beach to the locations shown on the drawings or as approved by the COUNTY. The <br /> CONTRACTOR shall exercise caution when accessing and driving on the beach. Sections <br /> of the beach are heavily used by the public during all periods of the year. The COUNTY <br /> shall determine if repairs are required and the COUNTY shall determine if the property has <br /> been repaired to its previous condition, before the CONTRACTOR receives approval of <br /> repairs. <br /> 31 . 12 Equipment Storage. From March I through May 1 , staging areas for construction <br /> equipment shall be off the beach. Nighttime storage of construction equipment shall be off <br /> the beach, in accordance with FDEP permit requirements for sea turtle protection. <br /> TECHNICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIFICATIONS _ TS-30 <br />
