INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BEACH RESTORATION PROJECT FOR <br /> SECTORS 1 &2 (AMBERSAND BEACH) AND SECTOR 7 <br /> TECHNICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIFICATIONS <br /> 1 . SCOPE AND FILL QUANTITY <br /> The CONTRACTOR shall provide all machinery, labor, equipment, supplies, and materials as <br /> necessary for all operations in connection with excavating, transporting, placement and grading of <br /> sand, planting and restoring vegetation and dune crossover structures, as indicated in the following <br /> Technical Specifications and the Construction Plans for this project. <br /> Potential bidders are advised that the <br /> beach fill quantity may be adjusted by the COUNTY without re-negotiations of unit price or terms. <br /> The COUNTY shall not consider the terms of the Contract to be satisfied unless at least ninety-five <br /> percent (95%) of the final design quantity is placed on the beach and is distributed so that each <br /> acceptance section contains no less than ninety-five percent (95%) of its design quantity. <br /> 2. CONSTRUCTION WINDOW <br /> All equipment shall be removed from the beach and work must be completed prior to May I ", <br /> Commencement, prosecution, and completion of the work are also addressed in the <br /> General Provisions. The time stated for completion shall include final site restoration of all work <br /> areas including staging areas and beach accesses. <br /> 3 . TIME EXTENSIONS <br /> All construction shall be stopped and all equipment must be removed from the beach prior to May <br /> 1 s`, Time extensions for delays due to weather or equipment failures/availability shall not <br /> be granted. <br /> 4. CONFLICTS <br /> To the extent that there is a conflict between the various sections of the contract documents, the <br /> following order of documents shall indicate precedence: <br /> 4. 1 In order of the most recent document date: Contract Modifications, Change Orders, and/or <br /> modifications to the Technical Specifications or Plans authorized by the COUNTY <br /> 4.2 Technical and Environmental Specifications <br /> 4.3 Construction Plans <br /> 4.4 General Conditions <br /> 4.5 Florida DOT Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction (2002) <br /> 4.6 Proposal and Bonds <br /> 4.7 The COUNTY shall interpret the contract documents, and the intent of the language shall <br /> prevail . <br /> TECHNICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIFICATIONS ., _ TS- 1 <br />
