5 . DEFINITIONS <br /> 5 . 1 Acceptance - An Acceptance Section is accepted when the ENGINEER recommends to <br /> the COUNTY payment for an Acceptance Section and the COUNTY makes payment based <br /> on completed Acceptance Surveys. <br /> 5 .2 Acceptance Section - A section of the project beach fill between adjacent survey <br /> (acceptance) profiles; for example, between R-97 and R-97. 5 ; between R-97. 5 and R-98, <br /> etc. <br /> 5 . 3 Borrow Site - Refers to specific offshore location delineated in the Construction Plans <br /> which has been permitted as the source of beach quality material for this specific project. <br /> 5 .4 Demobilization - The removal of all equipment and material associated with this Contract <br /> from the work location and doing so in a manner that leaves the work site in its original <br /> condition, or in a condition acceptable to the COUNTY. This item shall be performed at <br /> the expense of the CONTRACTOR. <br /> 5 . 5 Environmental Damage and/or Pollution - The presence of chemical, physical or biological <br /> elements or agents which have the potential to adversely affect human health or welfare; <br /> unfavorably alter ecological balance; affect other species; or degrade the utility of the <br /> environment for aesthetic, cultural, historical or recreational purposes. The control of <br /> environmental pollution requires consideration of water, air and land. Pollutants include <br /> fuels and other hydrocarbons such as hydraulic fluid, paints and solvents; bilge water; solid <br /> wastes; and noise as well as other pollutants. <br /> 5 . 6 Items of Historical or Archeological Value — Man-made or altered artifacts over 50 years <br /> old. <br /> 5 . 7 Materials - Beach quality sand excavated from the permitted borrow site in accordance <br /> with the design documents. <br /> 5 . 8 Mobilization - Mobilization includes but is not limited to those operations necessary for the <br /> movement of personnel, equipment, supplies and incidentals to the project site; the <br /> establishment of temporary offices and/or buildings; and the procurement of safety <br /> equipment, first aid supplies, sanitary and other facilities as required by these Technical <br /> Specifications, and State, Federal and local laws and regulations. <br /> 5 .9 Plans/Construction Plans - Blue line drawings and any other drawings as specified in this <br /> Contract.
