TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 1961 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />met at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida, in a regular meeting <br />held at 8:00 o'clock, A. M., Tuesday, November 7, 1961. All members <br />were present. Also present were Ed Schmucker, County Engineer; John <br />R. Gould, Attorney, Al Webber and Freda Wright, Deputy Clerks. <br />The Chairman asked if there were any changes or additions <br />to be made to the minutes of October 10th. Al Webber, Deputy <br />Clerk asked the minutes be amended to read as follows: "The <br />Attendance of all Board members, John Gould, Attorney, and James <br />E. Roberts, Service Officer, at the County Commissioners' Convention <br />at Fort Lauderdale on October 22 through October 25, and the attendance <br />of County Agent, Forrest McCullars at the meeting of the Florida State <br />Horticultural Society at Tampa on September 29 through 30, were <br />authorized." Thereupon motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, <br />seconded by Commissioner Waddell and carried, the minutes of <br />October 10th be amended. Also upon motion made by Commissioner <br />Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Waddell and unanimously carried, <br />the minutes of October 10th as amended were approved as read. <br />A letter from the Comptroller's Office with regard to <br />Confederate Pensioner, Mrs. Annie Ruffner, was presented to the <br />Board and upon motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner Hamilton and unanimously carried, the same was approved. <br />The following Reports were received and filed as follows: <br />County Agent's Monthly Report and Certificate of Service <br />Sheriff's Annual Report <br />Report of County Welfare Case Worker <br />The Florida State Road Department statements and schedules <br />on county secondary funds. <br />James Roberts, Service Officer, monthly report <br />A letter from T. H. Deskins, Jr., Registered Land Surveyor, <br />Fort Pierce, Florida, requesting permission to take Indian River <br />County Plats from the Clerk's office, was presented to the Board and <br />
