Annual Report of Board of County Commissioners for the <br />fiscal year ending September 30, 1961, was filed With the Clerk. <br />W. E. Henderson, 1630 5th. Avenue, appeared before the <br />Board with regard to the County's liability and responsibility for • <br />street lighting, curbs, etc. in Rockridge subdivision since the <br />promoter of same was out of the business. He was advised by Mr. <br />Gould, County Attorney, that the maintenance of the streets was <br />possibly the County's only responsibility. <br />Bill Payne, representing the Rod and Gun Club appeared <br />before the Board and requested permission to have a gun range in <br />a certain area of the county and he was advised to contact the <br />Variance Board as the property was not zoned for that purpose. <br />Mr. Winner appeared before the Board and requested that <br />that the bulkhead line in Sebastian Inlet be moved. He was advised <br />that no action could be taken at this time. <br />Al Webber, Deputy Clerk, asked if the following monthly <br />payments could be made without further authorization of the Board: <br />Humane Society of Vero Beach <br />Charlotte Atkin, Nursing Care <br />Child Welfare Service <br />Forrest McCullers, County Agent <br />$30.00 <br />51.75 <br />300.00 <br />75.00 <br />and their reply was that payment could be made to the extent of the <br />Budget. <br />Upon Motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers and unanimously carried, the following Resolution was adopted <br />RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vero Beach, <br />Florida, has requested the Florida State Road Department to <br />make a study to determine the feasibility of rerouting Florida <br />State Road 60 from a point at the west city limits of Vero <br />Beach, Florida, along the north side of the Main Canal of <br />Indian River Farms Drainage District to Florida State Road 5 <br />and to submit its findings to the City Council of the City <br />of Vero Beach; and, <br />
