WHEREAS, this Board is of the opinion that the present <br />location of Florida State Road 60 and the congestion of traffic <br />thereon, particularly in the business district of the City of <br />Vero Beach, make it necessary that means be found to alleviate <br />such traffic congestion and to expedite the flow of vehicular <br />traffic along said road; NOW THEREFORE <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners <br />of Indian River County, Florida, that this Board does request <br />the Florida State Road Department to undertake a study to de= <br />termine the feasibility of rerouting Florida State Road 60 from <br />a point at the west city limits of Vero Beach, Florida, along <br />'the north side of the Main Canal of Indian River Farms Drainage <br />District to Florida State Road 5 and to submit its findings to <br />the City Council of the City of Vero Beach. <br />Upon Motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Macdonald, and unanimously carried, public hearing was ordered on the <br />following petition of Tennie Lee Bradley. <br />PETITION TO VACATE ROAD AND WALKWAY <br />TO: THE HONORABLE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />Gentlemen: <br />Tennie Lee Bradley, a single woman, and resident of Indian <br />River Cou nty, Florida, is the owner and in possession of a <br />parcel of land described as follows: <br />The South half of Lot 10 and Lot 11, Bonita Beach <br />Subdivision as per Plat Book 3, Page 89, Indian <br />River County Public Records, said land lying and <br />being in Indian River County, Florida. <br />That the petitioner claims title to the above parcel of <br />land under a deed executed to her by Guy Van Duyn and Juanita <br />Van Duyn, his wife, which said deed was dated January 12, 1954, <br />and recorded on January 27, 1954, in Deed Book 85, Page 421, in <br />the Indian River County Records, and the petitioner has been <br />and now is in the possession, occupancy and use of said parcel <br />of land, and contemplates the constructioncf substantial im- <br />provements located on said parcel of land. <br />That the petitioner is an abutting fee owner of the <br />following described road and walkway, to -wit: <br />
