i . <br /> EOSYNTEC CONSULTANTS <br /> Mr. Tanhum Goldshmid <br /> Indian River County, Solid Waste Disposal District <br /> 3 May 2005 <br /> Page 4 <br /> Task 1 — Proiect Manaument/Meetino <br /> Under this task, GeoSyntec will perform project planning and management <br /> responsibilities, such as correspondence with IRC and FDEP, invoice rev ew, project <br /> coordination, and project administration . GeoSyntec has also included budget for <br /> preparation and attendance (by two GeoSyntec personnel) at one meeting with IRC and/or <br /> FDEP, as needed. <br /> Task 2 — Field Activities <br /> Under this task, GeoSyntec will perform all field activities related to the MPIS and <br /> plume groundwater monitoring, as discussed herein . The field activities will include : (i) <br /> field preparation; (ii) well installation and development ; (iii) well redevelopment; and (iv) <br /> groundwater sampling. In addition, budget has been included to repair hurricane damage <br /> to the pump and treat system. <br /> Task 2. 1 Field Preparation <br /> Under Subtask 2 . 1 , GeoSyntec will conduct field preparation activities, such as <br /> acquisition of IRC right-of-way drilling permits, scheduling and staffing, subcontracting, <br /> and field equipment preparation. GeoSyntec expects to contract with a drilling company <br /> for the work described below. In addition, we will coordinate with US BioSystems, the <br /> analytical laboratory contracted with IRC , regarding laboratory analyses required by FDEP . <br /> Task 2. 2 Well Installation and Development <br /> Under Subtask 2 .2 , GeoSyntec will install and develop the following fie proposed <br /> monitoring wells : <br /> • GR-MW31B screened from 35 to 45 ft BLS and intended to monitor the northwest <br /> lateral extent of the CVOC plume ; <br /> • GR-MW32A screened from 5 to 15 ft BLS and intended to monitor the northwest <br /> lateral extent of the CVOC plume; <br /> • GR-MW32B screened from 35 to 45 ft BLS and intended to monitor the northwest <br /> lateral extent of the CVOC plume ; <br /> XR05010 IRC MPIS-PM Sampling\R050001J-rev.doc <br /> 40 RECYCLED AND RECYCLABLE r <br />
