Mr. Terry Southard
31 March 2008
Page 3
includes recommendations for the site. As requested by the FDEP , the letter report will
include a MSDS for sodium hydroxide and a proposed background well location with
construction details (for FDEP ' s approval) . The final letter report (up to five copies) will be
signed/sealed by the Florida licensed Professional Engineer in responsible charge of the
project.
ASSUMPTIONS
During the preparation of this proposal, Geosyntec has made the following assumptions :
• Access to sampling locations is not restricted to Geosyntec.
• All sampling can be performed in Level D personal protective equipment.
• The field activities will be completed in two days . Please be advised that the installation
of additional piezometers and/or a permanent monitoring well network may be required
to fully delineate the pH impacts (laterally and vertically) .
• The letter report is intended to specifically comply with FDEP ' s 19 February 2008 letter
and is not intended to meet the intent of a Chapter 62 -780, Florida Administrative Code
Site Assessment.
• Geosyntec will be able to work unimpeded between Monday and Friday from 7 am - 7
pm.
ESTIMATED BUDGET
A summary of estimated project costs is included in Exhibit 2 attached.
CLOSURE
Geosyntec appreciates the opportunity to submit this proposal to provide environmental
consulting services to the IRC Utilities Department. Upon execution of the Work Order,
Geosyntec will immediately schedule the field activities. We anticipate that the field activities
will be completed within three weeks of Work Order execution. The letter report summarizing
the field activities will be completed within approximately two weeks of receipt of the laboratory
analytical results.
FR1329/CCR08028 .
