The <br /> County ' s GIS mission , in a greater context, is to utilize GIS and GIS-based technologies to <br /> improve analysis , and subsequent decisions , aimed at improving internal and public services <br /> and products . <br /> - Indian River County GIS Goals <br /> Execution of a comprehensive and effective GIS implementation plan will allow Indian River <br /> County to meet its short-term and long-term GIS goals . <br /> There are four primary steps that comprise an effective enterprise GIS implementation - <br /> ] . System Implementation <br /> The County is poised to improve its existing GIS by developing goals based on these steps , <br /> thereby establishing a foundation for a successful GIS implementation .
