EVA 7 <br />homesites and established residences in particular parts of Roseland <br />because of an in reliance on the location of said crossing; and, <br />WHEREAS, said crossing provided a convenient and safe method of <br />moving vehicles across the right of way and main line of said Railway; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, in the month of April, 1962, without warning or notice <br />to any governmental unit or person in Indian River County, Florida, <br />said Florida East Coast Railway Company closed said crossing to all <br />vehicle, foot and other traffic; NOW,THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County, Florida, that this Board objects to the closing of said <br />crossing and requests Florida East Coast Railway Company to reconsider <br />its action in the light of the facts and circumstances recited in this <br />resolution and to reopen and reestablish said crossing. <br />The County Attorney stated that he had a figure of $1,700.00 for <br />50 copies of the special acts pertaining to Indian River County. The <br />Chairman suggested that he take this matter up with the Bar Association <br />and other interested Boards to see if they desire anything of this <br />nature and also contribute to the cost and then maybe something could be <br />workedout to purchase them. <br />The Board agreed that plans for the Ocean park should include <br />condemnation of right-of-way or obtaining right-of-way for.access to <br />the park, picnic tables, parking area and possibly a well and that this <br />plan should be submitted for approval. <br />The County Attorney requested that a special meeting be held on <br />May 25, 1962, for public hearing on zoning change for the Religious <br />Rehabilitation center. Motion was made by Commissioner McCullers, <br />seconded by Commissioner Waddell and unanimously carried, that the pub- <br />lic hearing is set for May 25, 1962, at 8:00 o'clock, A. M. <br />,The County Engineer presented a report from the Wabasso Beach & <br />Civic Club on receipts and expenditures which was filed in the records <br />of„ the Clerk's office. <br />
