' scaffolding after it has served its purpose . <br /> 4 . The structural strength and safety of scaffolding , runways , covers , <br /> railings , ladders , stairs , etc . , and compliance with law shall be the sole <br /> responsibility of the CONTRACTOR . <br /> C . TEMPORARY CHUTES - No materials shall be dropped from structures <br /> except through enclosed wooden or metal chutes which shall be provided <br /> and maintained as required for the performance of the work by the various <br /> trades . <br /> 1 . 5 SECURITY <br /> A . Full time watchmen will not be specifically required as a part of the Contract , <br /> but the CONTRACTOR shall provide inspection of work area daily and shall <br /> take whatever measures are necessary to protect the safety of the public , <br /> workmen , and materials , and provide for the security of the site , both day <br /> and night . <br /> 1 . 6 TEMPORARY CONTROLS <br /> ' A . Take all necessary precautions to control dust and mud associated with the <br /> work of this Contract. In dry weather, spray dusty areas daily with water in <br /> order to control dust. Take necessary steps to prevent the tracking of mud <br /> onto adjacent streets and highways . <br /> 1 . 7 REMOVAL OF TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION FACILITIES <br /> A . Remove the various temporary ryfacilities services and controls and legally <br /> dispose of them as soon as the work is complete .
