The <br /> construction and operation of material hoists shall be in accordance <br /> with the applicable ANSI Standards , the " Manual Code of Accident <br /> Prevention in Construction " of the Associated General Contractors of <br /> America , OSHA , and of other Federal , State and municipal codes or <br /> ordinances . Prohibit the use of hoist for transporting personnel . <br /> Hoists shall be located to avoid risk of damage to completed work. <br /> 2 . Special rigging and hoisting facilities shall be provided by each trade <br /> requiring their use . <br /> Be TEMPORARY RUNWAYS , SCAFFOLDING AND LADDERS <br /> 1 . Provide temporary ladders , ramps , and runways as required for <br /> ' performance and inspection of the work . Construct and maintained <br /> these facilities in accordance with the applicable Federal , State , and <br /> ' Municipal regulations and codes . <br /> 2 . Errect permanent stairs , if any, as soon as possible , and provide <br /> suitable temporary treads , risers , railings , etc . , as required for safety . <br /> 3 .
