r <br />TUESDAY, JULY 10, 1962 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, met <br />at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida, in a regular meeting held at 8:00 <br />o'clock, A. M., Tuesday, July 10, 1962. All thembers were present. Also <br />present were Ed Schmucker, County Engineer, John Gould, Attorney, Al Webber . <br />and Freda Wright, Deputy Clerks. <br />The Chairman asked if there were any changes or additions to be <br />made to the minutes of June 5, 19 and July 5, 1962. Commissioner Macdonald <br />asked that the last paragraph of the first page of the minutes of June 5 <br />be amended to read "The County Attorney reported that some of the deeds <br />for Roseland road had been signed and the deed to the Auxier property for <br />the county dump had been signed." Upon motion made by Commissioner Waddell, <br />seconded by. Commissioner Macdonald, and unanimously carried, the minutes of <br />June 5 were approved as amended and the Minutes of June 19 and July 5, were <br />approved as read. <br />Homer Fletcher, Tax Assessor, appeared before the Board and asked <br />for an extension of time for the equalization meeting. Motion was made by <br />Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously <br />carried, that the request is granted and the time is extended to August 7, <br />1962, at 1:00 o'clock, P. M. <br />Gladys Vigliano, County Welfare Worker, appeared before the Board <br />and gave a report of her activities for the month of June which was filed <br />with the Clerk. She asked the Board if they wished to furnish aid to Mr. <br />Frank Lamont, who has not been a resident of Florida for 5 years. It was <br />the Board's opinion that they would not change their policy of 5 years as a <br />resident before getting county assistance and upon Motion made by Commis- <br />sioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously car- <br />ried, the request was denied. Mrs. Vigliano requested permission to hire <br />part time help and suggested that she would like to hire Mrs. Anne Smith. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner <br />Macdonald and unanimously carried, that this request be granted. <br />v�� <br />
