P4 <br />4 <br />• Mrs. Fred C. Macren of Wabasso appeared before the Board and <br />stated that Mr. Harry Cole was violating the zoning regulations and asked <br />if the Board could do anything about it. Ed Schmucker, County Engineer, <br />was requested to make an investigation and give the information to John <br />Gould, County Attorney, in order that he might determine what, if anything, <br />can be done. <br />Joe Michael, Chairman of Indian River Area Preservation League, <br />appeared before the Board and requested the County Commissioners to request <br />an aquatic and bird survey be made by the State Board of Conservation and <br />the Florida Game and Fish Commission in the area of Pelican Island and the <br />North county line. After some discussion motion was made by Commissioner <br />Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried, that <br />the County Attorney be requested to prepare the Resolution to be adopted <br />by the Board at the next meeting, the area to be surveyed being the area <br />North of Pelican Island to the county line and East of the intercoastal <br />waterways. <br />The Clerk of the Circuit Court (County Auditor) after tentatively <br />ascertaining the proposed fiscal policies of the Board for the ensuing fis- <br />cal year, from the 1st day of October 1962, to the 30th day of September, <br />1963, prepared and presented to the Board a tentative budget for the en- <br />suing fiscal year for each of the funds, as provided in Chapter 26874, Laws <br />of 1951, including all estimated receipts, taxes to be levied, and balance <br />expected to be brought forward and all estimated expenditures, reserves <br />and balances to be carried over to the end of the year. <br />Mrs. Anne Keen, a representative of Child Welfare, appeared <br />before the Board,and requested -that the budget for Child Welfare for the <br />next.fiscal year be $5,700.00. Mrs. Shad, District Director, also appeared <br />and submitted information as to how the money was used., They were advised <br />that $5,000.00 dollars had been tentatively budgeted for Child Welfare and <br />that this was the best they could do <br />Dr. Vogt appeared before the Board with regard to budget for the <br />Library. His request for the budget.year was $8,000.00. He, Mr. Art Jones <br />• <br />and General Hauser, stressed the importance and necessity of the library <br />
