177 <br />and creating a sinking fund for the retirement of the bonded debt, and for employment <br />of the necessary assistance for the proper operation of said bridge and to pay for <br />reasonable repairs thereon --amount to be raised $40948.01. <br />BE -SOLVED, That the Tax <br />,assessor in and for the County of Indian River,State of <br />Florida, be and he is hereby directed to levy and assess all of the foregoing taxes <br />as fixed and levied by this Board upon the property as levied and that he extend the <br />taxes on the valuation of such property according to said millage as fixed and <br />determined by this Board on all the property subject "to taxation in the said County <br />of Indian River, as to all taxes levied and intended to be entered on the assessment <br />roll under the head of County taxes and upon all property lying and being within the <br />Districts as described within the County of Indian River, as of the first day of <br />January 1928. <br />REZOLVED, further that the Clerk of the Circuit Court and Clerk of this Board <br />be and he is hereby f• directed to furnish to Geo. T. Tippin, Tax ;Assessor of Indian <br />River County, a full and complete copy of the foregoing minutes in so far as the same <br />relates to the subject of levying taxes, describing boundaries and etc. <br />RESOLVED, further, That the Clerk and Auditor of the County be notified of the <br />amount to be apportioned to the different accounts out of the total taxes levied for <br />all purposes. <br />The following Road petition was received, read and filed: <br />ROAD PETITION. <br />STATE OF FLORIDA ) <br />COUNTY OF INDIAN RIVER) <br />To the Honorable Board of County Commissioners of said County: <br />Gentlemen. -- <br />We the undersigned, citizens of the County of Indian River, State of Flo- <br />rida, respectfully represent that the necessities of the Public require a County Road <br />to be laid out as follows, to -wit: <br />Commencing at Aabasso road 1/4 mile West of S.E.Cor. Sec. 25 thence <br />North on quarter Zection line 1/2 mile, thence West on Half section line to center <br />e <br />of Rection 25 thence Borth on 1/2 Section line to Sebastian Road. <br />We therefore petition your honorable body to cause to be laid out and opened a <br />County Road as above described, and we, the owners of the land through which said <br />road is sought to be laid out, in consideration of the sum of One dollar to each of <br />us severally in hand paid by the County of Indian River, the receipt of which is <br />hereby acknowledged, hereby agree to give the right -of -war through our lands, as shown <br />by the plat accompanying this petition, and relinquish all claims for damage by <br />reason thereof. <br />It was ordered that E.C.Dancy, L.O.Baughman and D.L.Leisher, be appointed a <br />committee of Viewers, to vier, mark and lay out said road and report to this Board. <br />Thebo#d of Chas. D. Toole, as`lupervisor of Registration, in the sum of 0500.00 <br />with T.E.Jun and S.E.Twitchellp as sureties was approved. <br />It was ordered that $125.00 be appropriated out of the General Revenue fund, and <br />charged to -2-rimary election expense to be,used by the Supervisor of Registration in <br />placing the General Flection books in proper shape and condition for the General <br />u' Election to be held November 6, 1928. <br />It was ordered that the County Engineer grade road from Roseland to, connect with <br />the Fellsmere road. <br />
