PRE-BID MEETING March 18 , 2009 (Questions, clarifications, corrections and changes) : <br /> General : <br /> • Construction of 66th Avenue shall be completed first. 16'h Street shall remain open during this <br /> construction. <br /> • No work vehicles or detouring will be allowed through 71St Avenue. <br /> • The pipe rail on the guardrail is to remain. <br /> • The Testing Lab for the project will be Universal Engineering Sciences, Inc. <br /> Clarification I Correction : The Itemized Bid Schedule in the Contract Documents and Specifications <br /> shall be amended by replacing the attached revised Itemized Bid Schedule dated March 30, 2009. <br /> Clarification : Sequence of Construction & Maintenance of Traffic <br /> The contractor shall submit Maintenance of Traffic Plan and schedule prior to construction. To be <br /> approved by IRC Traffic Engineer. <br /> • 66th Avenue — North of SR 60 , traffic must be maintained at all times . Temporary pavement shall <br /> be provided. <br /> • 66th Avenue — Between SR 60 and 16th Street, traffic may be closed to through traffic during <br /> construction; however 16`h Street must be open to traffic during this phase . <br /> • 16th Street — The road may be closed to through traffic in sections. Access to several home owners <br /> will be required to be maintained. <br /> Plan Revisions : <br /> 16th Street — County plans : <br /> • The drainage trunk line will be relocated several feet northward to be out of the wheel line. <br /> • The Project will include a 16" water main along the south side of the road. A new set of plans <br /> provided by the IRC Utilities Department will be included in this addendum and labeled 161h Street <br /> Improvements between 74 `h Avenue and 66th Avenue Water Main Construction and Force <br /> Main Relocation, 7 sheets, dated December 2008. The Itemized Bid Schedule was revised to <br /> include this work. <br /> • A small amount of landscaping was added near Ansley Way. See plans labeled 16th Street <br /> Improvements between 74th Avenue and 66th, revised sheet 20 . The Itemized Bid Schedule was <br /> revised to include this work. <br /> I Two flow wells as indicated on the revised plans shall be properly grouted, capped and cut three (3 ) <br /> feet below the proposed surface. <br /> • The County will provide the bridge guardrail material for the bridge approach and connection to the <br /> 16th Street/74th Avenue Bridge. The remaining guardrail in the project will include materials and <br /> installation by the contractor. <br /> • The installation of the drainage pipe and drainage structure shall be coordinated with the Pointe <br /> West golf course owner during periodic golf course closures. The sand trap area and golf cart path <br /> shall be properly restored.
