system plans and specifications. <br />C. Schedule construction to minimize erosion and stormwater runoff from the <br />construction site. Implement erosion control measures on disturbed areas as <br />soon as practicable in portions of the site where construction activities have <br />temporarily or permanently ceased, but in no case more than 7 days after the <br />construction activity in that portion of the site has temporarily or permanently <br />ceased. <br />D. Inspect each pollution control system at least once per day. Clean and <br />maintain each pollution control system as required by its manufacturer or the <br />OWNER, until the system is no longer needed. If a water quality violation <br />occurs, immediately cease all work contributing to the water quality violation and <br />correct the problem. <br />E. Discharge shall not violate State or local water quality standards in the receiving <br />waters, nor cause injury to the public health or to public or private property, nor <br />to the Work completed or in progress. The receiving point for water from <br />construction operations shall be approved by the applicable regulatory agency <br />and the ENGINEER. <br />F. Promptly repair all damage at no cost to the OWNER. <br />1.4 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Shop Drawings: Submit shop drawings of the proposed pollution control and <br />treatment systems in accordance with Section 01340 Supplementary <br />Conditions to the General Conditions. <br />B. Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan, <br />F9 <br />A. Site-specific design of the erosion and stormwater pollution control system, and <br />installation and maintenance of all erosion and stormwater pollution control <br />devices, shall be by a State certified erosion control specialty subcontractor <br />who specializes in the design, installation, and maintenance of such devices. <br />After installation, this subcontractor shall maintain the erosion and stormwater <br />pollution control devices until the devices are no longer necessary. (Note: The <br />CONTRACTOR may install and maintain the erosion and stormwater pollution <br />control system under the direction of the State certified erosion control specialty <br />subcontractor.) Before- beginning construction$ submit to the ENGINEER for <br />review, a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan, prepared by the State <br />certified erosion control subcontractor.
