EXHIBIT 1 <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> Jones ' s Pier <br /> will be sampled on two separate occasions approximately one month <br /> apart. <br /> • Completion of in - situ permeability testing using the existing monitoring <br /> wells to estimate the hydraulic conductivity of the surficial aquifer . <br /> • Completion of a drive by well survey of the properties within a half- mile <br /> radius of the Site . <br /> • Completion of a site survey that includes northing/easting coordinate and <br /> top - of- casing elevations for the existing monitoring wells by a <br /> Professional Land Surveyor . <br /> KHA will provide the Florida Department of Environmental Protection ( FDEP ) <br /> with notification regarding the County ' s intent to initiate site assessment <br /> activities in association with the Jones Pier site . KHA will also notify the FDEP <br /> of the scheduled commencement date of the proposed field activities . <br /> The soil and ground water samples collected from the Site will be analyzed by a <br /> laboratory accredited by the NELAC ( National Environmental Laboratory <br /> Accreditation Conference) Institute . The samples will be analyzed on a standard <br /> ( seven to ten day ) turnaround time . The sampling activities will be conducted in <br /> general accordance with the FDEP ' s Standard Operating Procedures . <br /> Task Z — FDEP Meeting <br /> Following the completion of the site assessment field activities and the receipt of <br /> the corresponding laboratory data , KHA will prepare for and attend one meeting <br /> with staff members from the Waste Cleanup Section of the FDEP ' s Orlando <br /> District Office . The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the soil and ground <br /> water data collected from the Site . Furthermore , KHA will discuss strategies for <br /> obtaining regulatory closure for the identified impacts . This meeting will <br /> preempt the preparation of the Combined Document for the Site . <br /> Task 3 — Combined Document <br /> Following the completion of the site assessment activities and the meeting with <br /> the FDEP , KHA will prepare a Combined Document for the Site . The Combined <br /> Document will include the equivalent of a Site Assessment Report ( SAR ) and a <br /> Remedial Action Plan ( RAP ) . The SAR will summarize and present the findings <br /> of the site assessment activities . Remedial strategies will be developed to <br /> address the soil and ground water impacts and will be presented in the RAP <br /> portion of the Combined Document . <br /> The Combined Document will include the 'following : <br /> • A summary of the site assessment methodologies and results . <br /> 4 <br />
