• Testing may be administered randomly or at scheduled intervals , but <br /> occurs no less than once a week during the first several months of an <br /> individual 's enrollment. Frequency thereafter will vary depending on <br /> participant progress . <br /> • The scope of testing is sufficiently broad to detect the participant's <br /> primary drug of choice as well as other potential drugs of abuse, including <br /> alcohol . <br /> • The drug-testing procedure include direct observation of urine sample <br /> collection <br /> • Verification temperature and measurement of adulterants i . e . : creatinine <br /> levels , specific gravity, nitrite levels, PH , oxidants and chromate to <br /> determine the extent of water loading and other adulteration techniques <br /> • A documented chain of custody for each sample collected <br /> Procedures for verifying accuracy when drug test results are contested . <br /> Test results are available and communicated to the court and the <br /> participant within one day. The court is immediately notified when a <br /> participant has tested positive , has failed to submit to AOD testing , has <br /> submitted the sample of another, or has adulterated a sample . <br /> • The coordinated strategy for responding to noncompliance includes <br /> prompt responses to positive tests , missed tests, and fraudulent tests . <br /> The Judicial supervision of the participants is as follows: <br /> The drug court team meets at weekly regularly scheduled to review <br /> client status and discuss the progress of clients. <br /> • The client frequently appears before the judge . During the initial <br /> phase or Phase One clients are seen on a weekly basis . During <br /> Phase Two clients are seen on a semi-weekly basis and During <br /> Phase Three clients are seen monthly. <br /> • Immediately prior to the status hearing the Drug Court team (e. g . , <br /> prosecutor, defense attorney, probation officers, and treatment <br /> counselors) meets in a staffing situation to discuss the client's <br /> progress . <br /> Attachment 1 Page 4 of 5 Indian River County, Fl Program Narrative <br />
