rAuc100 <br />John Gould, County Attorney, reported that he had a supplemental <br />opinion of title to the Hemanes property and that it was okey for the <br />County to proceed with the property transaction. After some discussion, <br />the purchase of the property for marl pit was authorized. <br />Douglas Baker, Clerk, stated that Reports of Receipts,Expenses <br />and Net Income for the year ending the 31st day of December, 1962, were <br />filed with the Clerk on or before January 15, 1963, as required by Law, <br />by the following: Homer C. Fletcher, Tax Assessor; John R. Gould, <br />Prosecuting :attorney; Troy E. Moody, Tax Collector; Miles B. Mank II, <br />County Judge; Charles A. Sullivan, Judge Small Claims Court and Douglas <br />Baker, Clerk Circuit Court. <br />Mr. L. B. Vocelle, Attorney, representing Mr. and Mrs. Macren, <br />appeared before the Board and requested the County Engineer and the <br />County Zoning Inspector to investigate the business of Harry Cole and <br />determine whether or not he is operating a business and violating the <br />Zoning Ordinance. After considerable discussion, the County Engineer <br />and County Zoning Inspector were requested to investigate the matter and <br />to give a report of their findings to Mr.. Voc`lle. <br />The County Attorney stated that Charles Smith, Attorney, would <br />like the Board to make a request to the State Road Department to deed to <br />the County the following described property: <br />All that part of the former right-of-way of State Road #5 (U. S. <br />Highway #1) having a width of 66 feet extending Southward from a line <br />described as follows: commencing on the North boundary line of <--venue <br />B of W. E. Geoffrey's Subdivision as; recorded in Plat Book 2, page 32, pub- <br />lic records of St. Lucie County, at a point where the former State Road <br />#5's westerly boundary line intersects the North line of said ivenue B; <br />thence go West on an extension of the North.line ofavenue B to the East <br />bouridary-line.of'the Florida East Coast Railroad right=of-way; thence to <br />a line which is described as follows: Commencing at a point on the <br />South boundary line of Lot 103, Block 7, W. E. Geoffrey's Subdivision as <br />recorded in the office of the Cierk of the Circuit Court of St. Lucie <br />County in Plat Book 2, page 32, at a point where the said South boundary <br />,Line of Lot 103 intersects the former State Road #5; thence go West on <br />an•extension "of the South boundary line of said Lot 103'to the Eastern <br />boundary line of the right-of-way of the Florida East Coast Railroad. <br />Said land lying and being'in Indian River County, Florida. <br />After considerable discussion, Motion was made by Commissioner <br />McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Haffield and unanimously carried, <br />that the request be made to the State Road Department. <br />
