SECTION 01010 <br /> SUMMARY OF WORK <br /> PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> 1 . 01 LOCATION OF WORK <br /> A . The work is located within the property Iine limits of the County ' s South R. O . water treatment <br /> facilities as shown on the Contract Drawings . <br /> 1 .02 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> A. Furnish all labor and materials necessary to improve and modify the South R.O . Water <br /> Treatment Plant including the following: relocation of permeate acid injector, installation <br /> of new acid supply and containment piping, modifications to raw water blend piping <br /> including acid injector and static mixer, remove and replace three (3) new horizontal split <br /> case high service pumps including bases, couplings, motors, all nuts, bolts, fasteners, <br /> guards, electrical wiring, disconnects, VFD ' s, and all other appurtenances, installation of <br /> PE bulk tank including pad, demolition of existing entrance opening, piping, valves, <br /> appurtenances and hardware, integration of SCADA system, modification of RO trains <br /> including replacement of sample tubing, permeate hoses, 6" permeate headers, permeate <br /> port end adapters, appurtenances and hardware, replacement of up to a total of twelve (12) <br /> new 6M pressure vessels, painting and architectural treatment and accessory items, as <br /> depicted in these documents. <br /> I <br /> 1 .03 WORK BY OTHERS <br /> A. Interference With Work on Roads/Utilities: the CONTRACTOR shall cooperate fully with <br /> all utility forces of the OWNER or forces of other public or private agencies engaged in <br /> 1 relocation, altering, or otherwise rearranging of any RoadlUtility facilities which interfere <br /> with the progress of the Work, and shall schedule the Work so as to minimize interference <br /> with said relocation, altering, or other rearranging of facilities. CONTRACTOR shall <br /> minimize road lane closures and obtain County approval in writing prior to any lane <br /> closures. <br /> B . Refer to the General Conditions for additional requirements. <br /> IM WORK SEQUENCE <br /> IA. Perform Work to ensure completion of the Work within the Contract Time. Completion <br /> dates of the various stages shall be in accordance with the approved construction schedule <br /> ( submitted by the CONTRACTOR. The CONTRACTOR shall provide a written plan and <br /> lschedule in the event he desires to perform work from different stages concurrently. A <br /> written plan describing the CONTRACTOR' s intent must be submitted for approval by <br /> I the ENGINEER <br /> 1 <br /> 044572017 <br /> ( 01010- 1 <br />
