than eight (8) full working hours) shall not be credited toward the specified durations. <br />Training shall not be concurrent with on-going testing debugging or installation activities; <br />but shall be a separate activity devoted exclusively to the instruction of the Owner's <br />personnel in the operation and maintenance of the Manufacturer's equipment. Training <br />shall be performed by qualified representatives of each equipment Manufacturer <br />specifically skilled in providing instruction to operation personnel. Training shall provide <br />an overview of operations and maintenance requirements and shall include but not be <br />limited to: <br />1. Description of unit and component parts, <br />2. Operating capabilities and performance criteria, <br />3. Operating procedures, <br />4. Maintenance procedures, <br />5. Servicing and lubrication schedules, <br />6. Troubleshooting, and <br />7. Electrical instrumentation and control requirements and interface as a minimum. <br />The operating and maintenance data to be provided in accordance with <br />Specification Section 01730 shall be used as a basis for training. <br />F. A certificate from the Manufacturer stating that the installation of the equipment is <br />satisfactory, that the unit has been satisfactorily tested, is ready for operation, and that the <br />operating personnel have been suitably instructed in the operation, lubrication, and care of <br />the unit shall be submitted before start-up and acceptance by the Owner. The certificate <br />shall indicate date and time instruction was given and names of operating personnel in <br />attendance. This certification shall be submitted on the certification sheet, the form of <br />which is at the end of this section. <br />G. See the detailed Specifications for additional requirements for furnishing the services of <br />the Manufacturer's field service technician. <br />H. For equipment furnished under Divisions other than i 1, 140 15, 16, and 17, the <br />Contractor, unless otherwise specified, shall furnish the services of accredited field <br />services technicians of the Manufacturer only when some evident malfunction or <br />over -heating makes such services necessary in the opinion of the Engineer. <br />1.28 OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE DATA <br />A. Operating and maintenance data covering all equipment furnished shall be delivered <br />directly to the Port St. Lucie office of Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., for approval <br />within 60 days of shop drawing approval of each piece of equipment. No payment shall be <br />made for equipment installed or stored on-site until the Engineer has approved the <br />adequacy and completeness of the operating and maintenance data. Data shall be prepared <br />and submitted in full conformance with Section 01730. Final approved copies of operating <br />and maintenance data shall have been delivered to the Engineer on Owner's behalf two <br />weeks prior to scheduling the instruction period with the Owner. <br />END OF SECTION <br />044572017 <br />01170-8 <br />
