D. Document requests for substitutions for Products as specified in Section 01630, <br />1.07 PREPARATION OF CHANGE ORDERS <br />A. Engineer will prepare each Change Order. <br />B. Form: Change Order format provided in the Contract Documents. <br />C. Change Order will describe changes in the Work, both additions and deletions, with <br />attachments of revised Contract Documents to define details of change_ <br />D. Change Order will provide an accounting of the adjustment in the Contract Sum and in <br />the Contract Time. <br />1.08 LUMP SUM / FIXED PRICE CHANGE ORDER <br />A. Content of Change Orders will be based on either: <br />1. Engineer's Proposal Request and Contractor's responsible Proposal as mutually <br />agreed upon between OWNER and Contractor. <br />2. Contractor's Proposal for a change, as recommended by Engineer. <br />B. Owner and Engineer will sign and date the Change Order as authorization for the <br />contractor to proceed with the changes. <br />C. Contractor shall sign and date the Change Order to indicate agreement with the terms <br />therein. <br />1.09 UNIT PRICE CHANGE ORDER <br />A. Content of Change Orders will be based on, either: <br />1. Engineer definition of the scope of the required changes. <br />2. Contractor's Proposal for a change, as recommended by Engineer. <br />34. Survey of completed work <br />B. The amount of the unit prices shall be: <br />1. Those stated in the Agreement. <br />2. Those mutually agreed upon between Owner and Contractor. <br />C. When quantities of each of the items affected by the Change Order can be determined <br />prior to start of the work: <br />1. Owner and Engineer will sign and date the Change Order as authorization for <br />Contractor to proceed with the changes. <br />2. Contractor shall sign and date the Change Order to indicate agreement with the <br />terms therein. <br />D. When quantities of the items cannot be determined prior to start of the work <br />1. Engineer or Owner will issue a Change Order directing Contractor to proceed <br />with the change on the basis of unit prices, and will cite the applicable unit <br />prices. <br />2. At completion of the change, Engineer will determine the cost of such work <br />based on the unit prices and quantities used. <br />044572017 <br />01035-3 <br />
