A. For pollution control, use sprinkling, temporary enclosures, and other suitable methods <br />as necessary to limit the amount of dust and dirt rising and scattering in the air to the <br />lowest level of air pollution practical for the conditions of work. Comply with the <br />governing regulations. <br />B. Clean adjacent structures and improvements of all dust, dirt, and debris caused by <br />demolition operations. Return areas to conditions existing prior to the start of work. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />A. Not Used <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 REMOVAL OF EXISTING EQUIPMENT, PIPING AND APPURTENANCES <br />A. Subject to the constraints of maintaining the existing utilities in operation; existing <br />pumping equipment, valves, piping, and appurtenances not necessary for the operation of <br />the new facility shall remain the property of the Owner unless otherwise directed by the <br />Owner. The Contractor shall remove, clean, and prepare for storage all equipment to <br />remain as directed by the Owner. If the Owner elects not to retain ownership of a certain <br />item, the item shall become the property of the Contractor and shall be removed from the <br />site at the Contractor's expense. <br />B. All equipment and materials to be stored for reinstallation or salvage shall be properly <br />protected from damage. <br />C. Any items of equipment damaged or lost due to the Contractor's carelessness, <br />mishandling, or faulty procedures and/or workmanship shall be repaired or replaced in <br />kind to the satisfaction of the Engineer. <br />END OF SECTION <br />0445'2017 <br />02065-3 <br />
