A. The Owner and the Engineer assume no responsibility for the actual condition of the <br />concrete pedestals and pipe supports to be modified. <br />B. By submitting a bid, the Contractor affirms that the Contractor has carefully examined <br />the site and all conditions affecting the Work. Conditions existing at the time of <br />inspection for bidding purposes will be maintained by the Owner insofar as practicable. <br />1.03 RULES AND REGULATIONS <br />A. The Building Code of the State of Florida shall control the demolition, modification or <br />alteration of the existing pedestals. <br />B. No blasting shall be done on site. <br />1.04 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Provide a detailed sequence of demolition and removal work as part of the Contractor's <br />schedule. <br />1.05 ACCESS <br />A. Conduct demolition and modification operations, and the removal of equipment and <br />debris to ensure minimum interference with roads and walks both on-site and off-site and <br />to ensure minimum interference with occupied or used facilities. <br />B. Special attention is directed towards maintaining safe and convenient access to the <br />existing facilities by Owner's operations personnel and associated vehicles. <br />C. Do not close or obstruct streets, walks or other occupied or used facilities without <br />permission from the Engineer. Provide alternate routes around closed or obstructed <br />traffic in access ways. <br />1.06 PROTECTION <br />A. The Contractor shall conduct construction activities to minimize damage to adjacent <br />buildings, structures, utilities, storm drainage, and other facilities including persons. <br />1.07 DAMAGE <br />A. The Contractor shall immediately report damage caused to adjacent facilities by <br />demolition operations. The Contractor shall promptly make all required repairs as <br />directed by the Engineer and at no cost to the Owner. <br />A.
