SECTION 02670 <br /> FLUSHING , TESTING AND DISINFECTION <br /> PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> 1 .01 WORK INCLUDED <br /> A . Flushing, Pressure Testing, and Disinfection of systems including, but not limited to, raw <br /> water blend piping, all RO process equipment and piping where work performed, all high <br /> service pumps and piping, finished water piping, chemical system piping as listed herein. <br /> B . Contractor shall furnish all necessary pumps, hoses, piping, fittings, meters, gauges, <br /> chemicals and labor to conduct specified testing. <br /> C . Testing shall be repeated at the Contractor' s expense until satisfactory results are achieved. <br /> D . Refer the specific chemical system specification section for additional flushing and testing <br /> procedures . <br /> 1 .02 RELATED REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIED ELSEWHERE <br /> A. Section 11934 Series — High Service Pumps <br /> B . Section 15100 - Piping <br /> 1 .03 REFERENCES <br /> A. ANSI/AWWA C651 - Standard for Disinfecting Water Mains. <br /> B . ANSI/AWWA C652 — Standard for Disinfection of Water Storage-Facilities. <br /> C. ANSI/AWWA C653 — Standard for Disinfection of Water Treatment Plants. <br /> D . ANSI/AWWA C654 — Standard for Disinfection of Wells. <br /> 1 .04 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. Test Reports: Indicate results comparative to specified requirements. Submit two (2) copies <br /> of test results to Engineer in accordance with Submittal specifications. <br /> B . Final approval of the bacterial samples shall be received from the Florida Department of <br /> IEnvironmental Protection prior to the time that the system is placed into operation. Sampling <br /> procedures shall be done in accordance with FDEP requirements. <br /> I C. Bacteriological sampling locations shall meet FDEP requirements and be taken where shown <br /> on the drawings and as directed by the Engineer at no additional cost to Owner.
