A. Testing and analysis of concrete will be performed under provisions of this Section and <br />Section 01410. <br />B. Submit proposed mix design of each class of concrete to Engineer for review prior to <br />commencement of work in accordance with Submittal Section. Submittal shall include <br />proposed location for each class of concrete. <br />C. Independent Testing laboratory shall take cylinders and perform slump and air entrainment <br />tests in accordance with ACI 301. <br />D. Provide 5 cylinders per set. Test one at 3 days, one at 7 days, two at 28 days, and hold one. <br />E. Slump tests shall be taken for every truck delivery and each set of test cylinders taken. <br />F. In general, cylinders shall be taken for each concrete pour event, and every 50 cyds <br />placed. <br />G. All tests failing minimum specified criteria shall be billed to and paid for by the <br />Contractor. <br />1.07 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Submit product data under provisions of Section 01340 for Fine and Coarse aggregates, <br />admixtures and concrete mix design. <br />PART 2 — PRODUCTS <br />2.01 CONCRETE MATERIALS <br />A. Cement: ASTM C 150 -Type II Cement, <br />B. Fine and Coarse Aggregates: ASTM C33. <br />C. Water: Clean potable water. <br />2.02 ADMIXTURES <br />A. Air Entrainment: ASTM C260. Use Darex R AEA or equal. <br />Water�reducuig admixture:d and must mec4 AsTm c494 as a Type A and <br />equal.Type D. Use WRDA 64 or <br />C.
