2.03 <br />2.04 <br />E. Superplasticizers must meet all ASTM requirements and have compatibility test results <br />with approved mix design. <br />CONCRETE MIDI <br />A. Mix concrete in accordance with ASTM C94. <br />B. Provide concrete to satisfy the following requirements <br />l . Compressive Strength (28 days): 4000 psi all locations, 3000 psi for sidewalks. <br />2. Water/Cement ratio maximum 0.48 without admixtures by weight. <br />3. Fly Ash Content: maximum 15% of cement content, Type F only. <br />4. Slump 4 t 1 inch regular, 7-8 inch with superplasticizer, 6-8 inch pea rock pump <br />mix. <br />C. Use set -retarding admixtures during hot weather only when approved by Engineer. <br />D. Air entraining agent may be considered in concrete mix, however, content must be kept to <br />a minimum, and carefully monitored for addition to mix design. <br />E. Superplasticizer shall be used in all R/C walls that are water holding structures; i.e., <br />clearwell, containment walls, etc. <br />ACCESSORIES <br />A. Vapor Barrier: 10 mil thick clear polyethylene film, type recommended for below -grade <br />application. <br />B. Non -Shrink Grout: Premixed compound consisting of non-metallic aggregate, cement, <br />water reducing and plasticizing agents; capable of developing minimum compressive <br />strength of 2,400 psi in 48 hours and 7,000 psi in 28 days. <br />C. Water Stops: 6" x 3/8" water stop, ribbed flat virgin polyvinylchloride equal to one of the <br />following: <br />1, Greenstreak - Style 580 <br />2. Synko-Flex - Synko-Flex Products <br />3, Wester.
