PART 1 <br />1.01 <br />1.02 <br />SECTION 16470 <br />GENERAL <br />REFERENCE STANDARDS <br />A. Panelboards shall be in accordance with the Underwriter Laboratories (UL) "Standard for <br />Panelboards" and "Standard for Cabinets and Boxes" and shall be so labeled where procedures <br />exist. Panelboards shall also comply with NEMA Standard for Panelboards and the National <br />Electrical Code (NEC). <br />B. Where reference is made to one of the above standards, the revision in effect at the time of bid <br />opening shall apply. <br />MANUFACTURERS <br />A. 480 Volt, 3 Phase, 3 Wire panelboards shall be; I -Line series by Square D Co.; Type <br />Pow -R -Line by Cutler Hammer/ Westinghouse or Type CCB as manufactured by the General <br />Electric Co. <br />PART 2 PRODUCTS <br />2.01 GENERAL <br />A. Rating <br />1. All panelboards shall be rated for the intended voltage. <br />2. Circuit breaker panelboards shall be fully rated for the specified circuit breaker fault <br />current interrupting capacity. Series connected short circuit ratings will not be acceptable. <br />2.02 MATERIALS (NEMA 1) <br />A. Interiors <br />1. All interiors shall be completely factory assembled with circuit breakers, wire connectors, <br />etc. All wire connectors, except screw terminals, shall be of the anti -turn solderless type <br />and all shall be suitable for copper wire of the sizes indicated. <br />2. Interiors shall be so designed that circuit breakers can be replaced without disturbing <br />adjacent units and without removing the main bus connectors and shall be so designed that <br />circuits may be changed without machining, drilling or tapping. <br />4.
