2.03 <br />quarter tum clamps. <br />CIRCUIT BREAKERS <br />A. Panelboards shall be equipped with circuit breakers with frame size and trip settings as shown <br />on the Drawings. <br />B. Circuit breakers shall be molded case, bolt -in type. <br />C. Each circuit breaker used in 277/480 Volt and 480 Volt panelboards shall have an interrupting <br />capacity of not less than 45,000 Amps, RMS symmetrical. <br />0 <br />PART 3 <br />3.01 <br />3.02 <br />E <br />Circuit breakers shall be manufactured by the panelboard manufacturer. <br />EXECUTION <br />INSTALLATION <br />A. Mount boxes for surface mounted panelboards so there is at least 2 -in air space between the <br />box and the wall. <br />B. Install markers on the front cover of all panelboards which identify the voltage rating. Markers <br />shall be made of self sticking B-500 vinyl cloth printed with black characters on an Alert <br />Orange background, 2 -1/4 -in high by 9 -in wide, Style A as manufactured by W.H. Brady Co. <br />or equal. <br />C. Install a 1 -in by 3 -in nominal laminated plastic nameplate with 1/2 -in white letters on a black <br />background on each panelboard. Nameplates shall be stainless steel screw mounted. <br />D. Top of cabinets shall be mounted 6 feet -0 -inch above the floor, properly aligned and adequately <br />supported independently of the connecting raceways. <br />E. All wiring in panelboards shall be neatly formed, grouped, and identified to provide a neat and <br />orderly appearance. A typewritten directory card identifying all circuits shall be placed in the <br />card holder inside the front cover. <br />F. All panelboards shall be protected from physical damage, water damage, moisture, corrosion, <br />dirt and dust during construction. Any panelboard judged to be unacceptable by the Owner's <br />Representative shall be replaced by the Contractor at no additional cost to the Owner. <br />CLEANING <br />A. Remove all rubbish and debris from inside and around the equipment. Remove dirt, dust or <br />concrete spatter from the interior and exterior of the equipment using brushes, vacuum cleaner <br />or clean lint -free rags.
