SECTION 16483 <br />150 HP VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVES (VFDs) <br />PARTI-GENERAL <br />1.01 SCOPE OF WORK <br />A. The Supplier shall furnish, test, and place in satisfactory operation, three (3) complete variable <br />frequency drive systems, with all spare parts, accessories, and appurtenances as specified herein, <br />all in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. <br />1.02 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Submit Shop Drawings in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. Shop <br />Drawings shall include the following: <br />1. Complete variable frequency drive data including dimensions, weights, and detailed <br />performance information, including heat contribution to the environment. <br />2. Enclosure outline Drawings showing dimensions and weight. These shall include a dead - <br />front panel elevation showing all devices and nameplates: <br />3. Catalog cut and catalog data for all equipment and devices. <br />4. Complete wiring diagrams, elementary or control schematics, including coordination with <br />other electrical control devices operating in conjunction with the speed controller and <br />suitable outline. Drawings shall be furnished for review before proceeding with <br />manufacturing. Due to the complexity of the control functions, it is imperative that the <br />above Drawings be clear and carefully prepared to facilitate interconnections with other <br />equipment. Clearly differentiate between portions of wiring which are Manufacturer <br />installed and portions which are field installed. Standard preprinted sheets or Drawings <br />marked to indicate applicability to this contract will not be acceptable. <br />5. Any exception to this Specification along with detailed justification for each exception. <br />All items shall be in bold letters and underlined. <br />6. VFD manufacturer's statement accepting two (2) years warranty responsibility. <br />7. Copies of a preliminary O&M manual. <br />8. A list of the Manufacturer's recommended special tools and spare parts to be supplied. <br />Spare parts lists, included with the shop Drawing submittal shall indicate specific sizes, <br />quantities, and part numbers of the items to be furnished. <br />B. Submit copies of all factory test results to the Engineer for review and approval prior to shipment <br />' of each VFD. The number of copies of the test reports shall be the same as required for Shop <br />Drawing submittals. <br />044572017 <br />16483-1 <br />
