INDIAN RIVER COUNTY l - z <br /> Oslo Road Bridge Replacement <br /> And Roadway Widening <br /> AMENDMENT NO. 4 TO THE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING/LAND SURVEYING <br /> SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN KIMLEY-HORN AND ASSOCIATES , INC . AND <br /> INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA. <br /> This is an amendment to the existing Engineering/Land Surveying Services Agreement (AGREEMENT) <br /> dated March 24th, 1998 between Kimley-Horn and Associates , Inc . (ENGINEER) and Indian River <br /> County (COLTNTY) . This amendment addresses changes in " Section I - Project Limits and Description" , <br /> Section H - County Obligations, " Section III - Scope of Services " , " Section V - Compensation" <br /> and <br /> " Section XVI — Duration of Agreement" of the AGREEMENT . <br /> Amendment Description <br /> This Amendment includes the following : <br /> " SECTION III — SCOPE OF SERVICES " is being modified to incorporate the following : <br /> The ENGINEER will revise the current Oslo Road construction documents to extend the 5 -laning <br /> of Oslo Road west of 20th Avenue approximately 2 , 640 feet to 27th Avenue, where the 5 -lane <br /> section will tie-in to the existing 5 -lane section associated with the eastbound approach at the Oslo <br /> Road/ 27th Avenue intersection. The County also desires several other modifications to the <br /> construction documents that consist of the following : <br /> • The County desires that the proposed sidewalk along the north side of the Oslo Road be <br /> modified to consist of a two foot utility strip in combination with an eight foot pedestrian <br /> sidewalk. <br /> • The County desires that the sub -lateral canal, located along the south side of Oslo Road, <br /> be enclosed from SW 19th Avenue to east of SW 18th Avenue . <br /> • The County desires to have a westbound right turn lane at the entrance to the Timber <br /> Ridge development. <br /> • The County desires to have a plateau intersection at Oslo Road and SW 12th Avenue to <br /> accommodate the potential future signalization of this intersection . The intersection will <br /> be designed to accommodate a future southbound left turn lane on SW 12th Avenue . <br /> • The County desires to have the corridor reviewed to determine where raised traffic <br /> separators could be installed to assist in access management along the corridor. In <br /> locations where it is applicable to have raised medians , non-irrigated landscape <br /> improvement plans will be developed. <br /> • The County desires to hold up to one public involvement meetings where the ENGINEER <br /> will participate and prepare presentation materials for the meetings . <br /> G A04703508\WP\AMENDA04.doc <br />
