Wednesday, February 22, 1984 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, Florida, met in Regular Session at the County <br />Commission Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, <br />on Wednesday, February 22, 1984, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. <br />Present were Don C. Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Patrick B. <br />Lyons, Vice Chairman; Richard N. Bird; Margaret C. Bowman; <br />and William C. Wodtke, Jr. Also present were Michael J. <br />Wright, County Administrator; L. S. "Tommy" Thomas, <br />Community Services -Director; Gary Brandenburg, Attorney to- <br />the <br />othe Board of County Commissioners; Jeffrey K. Barton, OMB <br />Director; and Virginia Hargreaves, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. , <br />Attorney Brandenburg led the Pledge of Allegiance to <br />the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Chairman Scurlock reported that he received a request <br />from the City of Vero Beach that a discussion in regard to <br />annexation of the unincorporated area of South Beach be <br />added to the agenda. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously <br />added the above item to today's agenda. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Chairman asked if there were any additions or <br />corrections to the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of <br />February -1, 1984. <br />Commissioner Bird noted that on Page 67, under discus- <br />sion regarding the possibility of a public golf course at <br />Kiwanis-Hobart Park, that Minutes state that he "assured <br />y FEB 2 <br />1984 860K 56 PAGE20i <br />
