LJ <br />1 <br />1 <br />m4h <br />There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried the Board <br />then adjourned. <br />ATTEST: 10 V Chairman <br />F <br />C 1 e r k <br />TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12th 1933. <br />The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at <br />the Court House in Vero Beach, at 10:00 o'clock .A.M.Tuesday, September 12th 1933, with <br />the following members of the Board present: J.J.P.Hamilton; J.D.Yongue; John MoKnight <br />and Edwin A. Helseth. Also present were Miles Warren, Clerk and William Frick,Bheriff. <br />It was ordered that the Clerk write the State Comptroller and ascertain whether or <br />not the Board of County Commissioners have the right to permit the cutting and removing <br />of timber from lands upon which the taxes have not been paid, with the understanding <br />that the sum of $4.00 per thousand feet will be turned into the Clerk's office to apply <br />on the taxes delinquent and due. <br />It was moved, seconded raid carried that application be filed for loan of $60,000. <br />with the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works for the purpose of constru- <br />ction of a Court House on County property. <br />It was moved, seconded and carried that a deed be made and executed by this Board <br />on behalf of Indian River County for a strip of land approximately 30 feet on the. East <br />side of road which is located on East side of the 5 acres owned by the County for <br />Court House and Jail purposes to the owners of the land abutting the same and such <br />owners in turn to make deed for an equal amount of land on the South end of the said <br />5 € cres as now owned by the County. <br />It was ordered that a resolution be prepared to declare an open season on turtle <br />doves from Sen tember 15th to November 15th 1933. <br />It was ordered that the Clerk dispatch a letter to Hon. We P. Mo oty, member of the <br />State Road Board from this district and thank him on behalf of this Board for his <br />efforts in securing funds for the repairing of the Vero Bridge. <br />It was moved, seconded and carried that the Clerk write the Governor and request <br />he take up with the Federal authorities the question of assistance for citrus growers <br />in Florida on account Of the recent tropical storms. <br />It was moved by Com'r Knight and seconded by Com'r. Yongue that the motion and <br />order to prepare application for loan of $60,000.00 to construct a Court House be <br />deferred until further order of this Board. Com'r. Helseth voted against this motion. <br />There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried the Board <br />djourned until Wednesday, September 20th 1933. <br />TTEST: <br />airman <br />vs v a.tti . <br />-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />WEDNESDAY, SEPTMER 20th 1933. <br />The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at <br />the Court House in Vero Beach, at* 2:00 o'clock P.M.Wednesday, September 20th 19331, with <br />the following members of the Board present: J .J .P.Ihmilton; J .D.Yo ague; John M. Knight <br />nd Edwin .A Helseth. Also present were Miles Warren, Clerk and Wm. Frick, Sheriff. <br />The following described County warrants, having; been duly issued, and returned <br />laimed, it Baas ordered that same be cancelled by this Board, and the Clerk instructed <br />o make the necessary entries on the County Finance record: <br />
