NOVEKBER_STH.. 1940. <br />The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at the <br />Court House in Vero Beach, at 10:00 o'clock A. M. Tuesday, November 5th., 1940, in Regular <br />meeting with the following members of the Board present: C. S. Michael, Chairman; S. E. Glover, <br />W. C. Graves, Jr., Frank C. Vickers and Albert O. Helseth. Also present were Wm. W.,Frick, <br />Sheriff, Chas. A. -Mitchell, Attorney for the Board and Douglas Baker, Clerk. <br />The minutesofJune 4, July l,and 2. August 6 and 12, September 3, 13 and 26, October <br />1 and 16 were read and approved. <br />It was ordered Mrs.-011ie Watson.and Raymond Fendley be paid the sum of $19.00 from <br />the GEIITERAL REVS M FOND as transportation expenses in moving the Matson family from Vero Beach <br />to Madison, Florida. <br />It was ordered the following persons be removed from the Mothers Pension Fund and <br />the Pauper's List for the reasons set out as follows: <br />Name . <br />Mrs. ' Robert: Washington <br />George Washington <br />Mrs. William Conger <br />Mrs. Ruby Brown <br />Mrs. Carrie Martin <br />Mrs. Jessie B. Fields <br />Mrs. 011ie Lingenfelter <br />Reason <br />Employed Housekeeping Aid Project <br />Wife --Sewing Room <br />fie --Sewing Room <br />Housekeeping Aid Project <br />Packing House <br />Fruit Stand <br />State Aid <br />It was ordered a County warrant be issued on the G=3RAL RTZ= FUND in the sum of <br />$15.00 to Miss Ruth Rountree, Sebastian during.the months of October and November and $10.00 <br />in December, funds to be used for the care of Harry Brooks, Colored. <br />It was ordered Mrs. Maud Molane be reinstated for Mother's Pension in the sum of <br />$8.00 per month until the further orders of the Board. This amount to be paid with the under- <br />standing that Mrs. McLane would act as nurse for Mrs. R. L. Cog and assist or work in other ass( <br />as might be suggested or recommended by Miss Leila M. Bunkley, County Nurse. <br />It was ordered grocery order for Mrs. Patton, Roseland,be increased from 410 to 015 <br />each month until the further orders of the Board. E. E. Carter, Road Superintendent was in - <br />strutted to send a man to fix the roof and screens of the house in which Mrs. Patton resides. <br />Miss Leila M. Bunkley, County Nurse appeared before the Board and filed a report as <br />to her activities for the month of October as follows, to -wit: <br />COUNTY NORSE'S MONTHLY REPORT <br />OCTOBER 1940. <br />Total Number of oases for the Month 86 <br />Number of Visits to cases 95 <br />Number of Visits in behalf of cases 43 <br />Number of office interviews 35 <br />Number of oases cared for in hospital 3 <br />Number of cases to Dentist 3 <br />Number of raises for Chest X-ray to <br />West Palm Beach 1 <br />Labratory Specimen submitted Hook worm 11 <br />A lunch room at the Minter Beach School.is <br />operating. <br />All children of that School have lunch there.. <br />.A ease of infantile Paralysis at Fellamere was <br />quarantined, and School closed for two weeks. <br />The Red Cross Regional Conference in Sanford was attended. <br />. <br />Sometime was spent assisting with the War Relief Production- Sponsered by the Avner <br />Red Cross, <br />Ms <br />1 <br />1 <br />
