SECTION 00110 CLEARING AND GRUBBING <br /> A . Payment for Clearing and Grubbing shall include compensation for : the removal <br /> and disposal of asphaltic concrete and existing concrete pavement , concrete , <br /> sidewalks , curbing , abandoned utilities ( including pipes , cables , conduit and <br /> structures) , existing walls , shade house , riprap , various types of fences , septic <br /> tanks , drain fields , pump stations , motor boxes , pumps , irrigation apparatus , base <br /> material , trimming of trees and shrubs , drainage structures , pipe , backfilling the <br /> removal excavations , plus all other items necessary to be removed to construct the <br /> project . All non -salvageable materials removed shall remain property of the <br /> Contractor unless otherwise directed by the Engineer or Owner ( See Article <br /> SC -W ) . All unwanted materials shall be removed and suitably disposed of by the <br /> Contractor outside the project limits (see Article SC -W ) . Any salvage value <br /> received from the removed materials shall be reflected in the Contractor' s <br /> proposal . <br /> B . Clear and grub within the entire limits of the right- of-way except in specific areas <br /> designated by the Engineer to remain for aesthetic purposes . <br /> C . Existing and temporary asphaltic pavement and excess subsoil shall be disposed <br /> of outside the project by the Contractor , at a location and in a manner approved by <br /> the Engineer . <br /> D . Removal of existing pavement includes all removal and disposal of the asphalt <br /> within the limit shown on the plans . <br /> E . Payment shall be made under : <br /> Item No . 110 - 1 - 1 - Clearing and Grubbing — Lump Sum <br /> Item No . 110 -3 — Existing Bridge Demolition — Lump Sum <br /> SECTION 01310 CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULES <br /> 1 . 1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> A . No partial payments shall be approved by the ENGINEER until there is an <br /> approved construction progress schedule on hand . <br /> B . Designate an authorized representative who shall be responsible for <br /> development and maintenance of the schedule and of all progress and <br /> payment reports . This representative shall have direct project control and <br /> complete authority to act on behalf of the CONTRACTOR in fulfilling the <br /> commitments of the CONTRACTOR ' s schedules . <br /> 1 . 2 REVISIONS TO THE CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULES <br /> When the ENGINEER requires the CONTRACTOR to submit revised ( updated ) <br /> progress schedules on a monthly basis the CONTRACTOR shall : <br /> A . Indicate the progress of each activity to the date of submission . <br /> B .
