NEC NEC Unified Solutions, Inc. <br /> 5 . NEAX Voice System Installation and Configuration ( Excluding <br /> Terminals ) <br /> NEC shall be responsible for the following : <br /> 5 . 1 . Install equipment rack and components , test power system , install rectifier and <br /> battery ( if applicable ) . <br /> 5 . 2 . Assemble the Main Distribution Frame ( MDF ) and the System Modules ( as <br /> applicable ) . <br /> 5 . 3 . Interconnect the System Modules to the switch -side blocks on the MDF ( as <br /> applicable ) . <br /> 5 . 4 . Install , program , and test circuit cards to be used as interface to the NEAX voice <br /> system solution , including necessary MDF and integration connections . <br /> 5 . 5 . Verify and/or develop trunk route and dial plan configurations with input from <br /> Customer design team ( if applicable ) . <br /> 5 . 6 . Verify or configure system to the approved database , user classes of service , and toll <br /> and station restrictions (as applicable ) . <br /> 5 . 7 . Develop the implementation -specific network diagram and equipment room <br /> diagram ( s) with input from Customer and/or the design team . <br /> 5 . 8 . Input Customer-approved database into the PBX . <br /> 5 . 9 . Determine that all local and long -distance services have been installed by the " Telco" <br /> at the customer' s demarcation point ( as applicable ) . <br /> 5 . 10 . Determine status of any dial- up or LAN/WAN connections that will be made to the <br /> system for customer access . <br /> 5 . 11 . Connect remote maintenance access to support NEC service access to system for <br /> duration of warranty and maintenance period ( per Equipment List) <br /> 5 . 12 . Cutover the system by MDF cross-connect ( as applicable ) and perform post-cutover <br /> testing . <br /> 5 . 13 . Deliver system installation documentation . <br /> Customer shall be responsible for the following : <br /> 5 . 14 . Mutual identification of installation location . Ensure all power and cabling <br /> requirements are accessible to this location . <br /> 5 . 15 . If applicable , provide appropriately sized UPS . <br /> 5 . 16 . Approve and perform Customer-provided changes to equipment room ( s) . <br /> 5 . 17 . Adhere to cutoff date for database changes in Implementation Plan . <br /> 6 . Dterm Remote Module Installation <br /> NEC shall be responsible for the following : <br /> 6 . 1 . NEC will install and test all office modules in the location specified by Customer, <br /> normally in the switchroom or nearby . NEC will set up and test all remote modules for <br /> functionality . <br /> 6 . 2 . NEC will train Customer' s staff in the deployment of the remote modules , including <br /> installation , set- up and operation . <br /> Customer shall be responsible for the following : <br /> 6 . 3 . Provide physical space for testing the remote modules , as well as the telco facilities <br /> required to interconnect the office and remote modules . <br /> 6 . 4 . Designate personnel who will be assigned Dterm Remote Modules . Determine their <br /> telephone usage patterns and the locations at which the remote modules will be <br /> used . <br /> 6 . 5 .
