NECNEC Unified Solutions , Inc . <br /> 7 . Station Cabling - Reuse <br /> NEC shall be responsible for the following : <br /> 7 . 1 . Meet with Customer to discuss the location and condition of the existing station cable <br /> including any known problems . Plan the station -side of the MDF . <br /> 7 . 2 . Test and label all telephone station cable for the number of locations specified in the <br /> Equipment List . <br /> Customer shall be responsible for the following : <br /> 7 . 3 . Resolve any asbestos and infection control issues involved in the cable reuse . <br /> 7 . 4 . Resolve cable issues found during the Place , Test and Designate step that concern <br /> the station cable reused under this SOW. <br /> 7 . 5 . Resolve cable issues having to do with any distribution or riser cable . <br /> 7 . 6 . Provide security clearances , escorts , special safety equipment , and access training <br /> as required to access the site for station cable issues . <br /> 8 . Set, Test and Designate Terminals <br /> NEC shall be responsible for the following : <br /> 8 . 1 . Unbox , assemble and attach designation strips for telephones provided by NEC . <br /> 8 . 2 . Place and test all telephones and consoles specified in attached Equipment List. <br /> 8 . 3 . Report telephone test failures due to cabling for Customer resolution . <br /> Customer shall be responsible for the following : <br /> 8 . 4 . Provide any security clearances , escorts , special safety equipment, and access <br /> training as required to access the site for telephone installation . <br /> Voice Mail / Unified Messaging <br /> 9 , Database Design - Voice Mail / Unified Messaging <br /> NEC shall be responsible for the following : <br /> 9 . 1 . Work with Customer team to gather database information required to support <br /> Customer' s planned implementation . This may include integration/extension into <br /> Active Directory , NT 4 domain importation , or integration into Exchange , Lotus Notes , <br /> or Novell GroupWise ( as applicable ) . <br /> 9 . 2 . Set freeze date for any changes to Active Directory schema ( no later than 10 <br /> business days prior to cutover) . <br /> 9 . 3 . Provide documentation and tools for developing System and user database . <br /> 9 . 4 . Recommend configuration of security safeguards for the System . <br /> 9 . 5 . Recommend configuration aspects to maximize System performance . <br /> 9 . 6 . Set Cutoff Date for any database changes ( See Assumptions & Limitations ) . <br /> 9 . 7 . Submit database to Customer for review and approval . <br /> 9 . 8 . Provide operational features as defined per manufacturer' s published specifications . <br /> 9 . 9 . Provide System Administrator with applicable System access passwords . <br /> 9 . 10 . Request documentation and/or support from Customer needed to facilitate integration <br /> of equipment to Customer' s LAN/WAN system . <br /> NEC Unified Solutions , Inc.
